  7. Sirius Shell Tools is a group of AIX or UNIX shell commands designed to
  8. simplify commonly used UNIX functions. Sirius groups over 30 commands to
  9. simplify the day-to-day usage of IBM AIX or UNIX systems. All commands are
  10. fully documented and easily modifiable. They can be used as is, or customized
  11. for each installation. Included are commands to read and write AIX diskettes
  12. and tapes, read and write DOS diskettes, format AIX UNIX, DOS diskettes,
  13. display a directory tree, change string pattern in one or more text files
  14. without editing, convert file names to/from upper/lower case, and much more.
  15. Use these commands to easily accomplish tasks and avoid looking up parameters
  16. in your UNIX manual. Or use them to learn, or teach UNIX shell programming.
  17. Each script is fully commented and gives good examples of some of the tricks
  18. of shell programming.
